About Finnpilot
Pilot Boats and Vehicles
Finnpilot’s pilot transport fleet consists of pilot cutters for winter use, high-speed pilot boats, hovercraft for the Bay of Bothnia, and cars. Our fleet is stationed at pilot stations along the Finnish coastline and is moved as needed according to traffic conditions.
We invest in low-emission technology and energy-efficient solutions to ensure that pilot transport is both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. New vessel types and lifecycle extensions reduce emissions and extend the service life of our fleet. Our equipment investments are based on long-term planning. Whenever possible, decommissioned equipment is recycled and passed on to new owners.
Our fleet can be deployed to support authorities when needed, for example in operations related to maritime safety, rescue efforts, and emergency situations.
