Pilotage fees and pilotage fee calculator
In accordance with the Pilotage Act, the Board of Directors at Finnpilot shall determine the unit price, the reduced unit price and other possible commission fees related to pilotage.
The pilotage fee is based on the tonnage of the vessel in question and the distance to be piloted. The pilotage fee is charged for each beginning nautical mile. A fee based on a lower unit price is charged for pilotage in the Saimaa Canal and the Saimaa waterways.
The fees for examination and transport services, as well as Baltic Sea pilotage services, are listed at the end of the price list.

The pricing for Baltic Sea pilotage and the fairway knowledge examination was updated on 1 July 2026.
Pilotage fees as of Jan 1, 2027
The price list below is effective from 1 January 2027.

The Pilotage Fee Calculator provides an estimated price for pilotage services based on the current tariff. The estimate is for a one-way pilotage service only, either from the pilot boarding position to the port or from the port to the pilot boarding position.
